poetrySPARK’s goal is to make poetry cool again.  We are seeking out all local poets, novice or professional, to participate in our series of literary events.   This year’s poetrySPARK will feature readings (including a poetry slam and an “After Dark” event), workshops, panel discussions, and more!

2009 poetrySPARK recap

Last year about 60 different poets read their work at a North Carolina Writer’s Network sponsored reading on Friday night or at a themed reading (humor, narrative/ lyrical, formal/metrical, and experimental) on Saturday night at the Morning Times.
