2010 danceSPARK recap
Last year’s danceSPARK offered the Raleigh community ways to watch and participate in a variety of dance styles. The danceSPARK Dance Academy again offered free classes in a variety of dance forms and performances this year focused on site-specific modern dance works performed on Fayetteville Street. For 2011, we plan to increase the class offerings, coordinate more site-specific outdoors performances, and curate an evening concert of dance on the SPARKcon mainstage! Check the links above or come to one of our planning meetings to see how you can be involved as a teacher, choreographer, performer, volunteer, or participant.

The danceSPARK Dance Academy offered free classes in a variety of dance forms (ballroom, jazz, feldenkrais movement, clowning, and modern dance to name a few). Code f.a.d. Company gave a sneak-peek performance of excerpts from their newest work in the Raleigh Ensemble Players studio space on Fayetteville St, and Footnotes Tap Ensemble, nosi Dance theater, and Acroentertainment performed on the mainstage outside. Stay tuned for information on the even bigger 2010 danceSPARK!
