SPARKcon News & Updates
Camera Phone Photo Projection @ The Mahler
Snap it, then see it! Upload your camera phone pics and we’ll project them at The Mahler.
Upload your pictures and tag them with #phonespark. The images need to be taken with camera phones. No Cannon’s here. Look for your shots at The Mahler Friday and Saturday from 8p-10p.
Cannon (and other camera) images can be uploaded here. We like those too.
Thanks!

The FLINTnow project was created and funded by SPARKcon founders Aly and Beth Khalifa. Since transferring full control of SPARKcon to their favorite folks at the Visual Art Exchange, Aly and Beth are now focused on providing creative direction to SPARKcon. Funding of FLINTnow comes directly from them, with the purpose being to help cover out-of-pocket expenses of great ideas and take them from a spark to a full-on fire!
FLINTnow projects are to:
- Integrate well within the space for SPARKcon 2011
- Push the limits of technology, artistry, and creativity
- Engage the public
- Relate to SPARKcon goals for creative expression
Awards were granted based on the merits of the submission as well as the funds needed to realize the project. In keeping with the tenets of the rest of SPARKcon efforts, the actual worked hours are expected to be volunteered. The awards were given in the following allotments:
- Big: $400
- Bigger: $700
- Biggest: $1000
